NEMO LIBRIZZI
Nemo Librizzi has been a figure in the New York art scene since the age of thirteen, when he showed alongside Basquiat and Keith Haring in the graffiti art hub, Fun Gallery. He hosted a long-standing radio show on WKCR, unapologetically juxtaposing diverse genres under the banner of Duke Ellington's famous quote, there are only two kinds of music, good music, and the other kind. The success of his program led to a career in compiling music for the soundtrack of many of New York's hippest hotels and restaurants, the Maritime, Rivington, Gramercy Park, Barbuto, Frederick's, Megu, Employee's Only & C. He has also had an extensive involvement in cinema, working closely with directors Julian Schnabel and Jim Jarmusch on several films. He will be speaking on the relationship between food and music in site-specific environments.
