GEORGES M. HALPERN
Session host: Georges M. Halpern, doctor, author, and specialist on the topic of pleasure.
Georges M. Halpern is a doctor of internal medicine and allergy/immunology, and a PhD/DSc in pharmaceutical sciences. He is past-professor of medicine, and nutrition, University of California, Davis. He has worked/lectured in 78 countries, and actively consults with/for government and industries including food, mineral water, wine, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology on medical and public health issues. Currently, he is Distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He focuses his current research on the positive role of Pleasure, and modern technologies applied to identification, purification, synthesis and manufacturing of substances of natural origin. He has authored 22 books, and hundreds of articles and chapters. He is a Commander in the French National Order of the Mérite Agricole for his original contributions to enology and French cuisine. His current researcher focuses on the body’s postitive response to pleasure.
